There are many ways that vehicle donations can support the Saratoga Automobile Museum, by enhancing our collection or providing funds for collections maintenance and general operating support. We review vehicles offered for donation in two ways, those that will be considered for the museum’s collection, based on their connection to our mission and collecting focus, and those that will be sold. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of donated vehicles go directly to the Museum and all vehicle donations are tax deductible to the donor.

Q: What are the benefits of donating my vehicle to the Museum?
A: The Museum receives benefits by receiving a vehicle donation to fund our new and existing programs and increase our visibility to the local community. You benefit by being able to reduce your taxable income from receiving a deduction from us. Plus, you are able to avoid the costs associated with selling your car. No need to pay for advertising, no loss of privacy and possible security risk, and no need to pay for vehicle registration, insurance, and repairs to keep your car in running condition while selling.

Q: How does the Museum handle everything for me?
A: All you need to provide is a clear title to the vehicle. We coordinate our efforts with local towing companies and Museum volunteers to pick up your donation.

Q: What kind of vehicles do you accept?
A: We accept all types. Everything from passenger cars, trucks, RVs, campers, boats, and motorcycles.

Q: How does the Museum sell the vehicle?
A: The vehicle will be evaluated and it with either be sold at our annual Saratoga Motorcar Auction in September or it will be sold wholesale.
