With over $6 million in sales in 2018 and a nearly 70% sell-rate, the Saratoga Auto Auction has positioned itself as one of America’s premier auto auctions in just two years.

The Saratoga Automobile Museum is seeking a qualied individual for the Auction Director position who has taken auctions to where the Saratoga Auto Auction wants to go for continued success. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Auction Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Museum’s annual Auto Auction ("Saratoga Auto Auction"). This position will be responsible for assembling over 350 lots for September 2019, with plans for increasing quantities in the years ahead (including the organization of a future Spring auction).

The Auction Director will work closely with the Executive Director and Development Task Force in all aspects of the auction to ensure its continued success.

  • Meet with owners to inspect vehicles to ensure the vehicle’s quality and assess the vehicles to set appropriate reserves.

  • Manage all administrative operations, including advertising and marketing.

  • Attend industry events, auctions, meetings with sponsors, enthusiast meetings, car clubs and

  • Museum-related events.

  • Ensure from a customer perspective that all constituents (consignors, bidders, sponsors, volunteers

  • and spectators) are treated well and satised with every aspect of the auction.

  • Develop and train all auction employees and volunteers.

  • Responsible for the auction being properly staed at all times.
