Saratoga Springs, NY

The two most successful stock car drivers in Capital District history, DIRT and CVRA legends Jack Johnson and Kenny Tremont Jr., will talk about their stellar careers at the Saratoga Automobile Museum on Saturday, November 25th at 2 pm.

Both drivers are well known nationally, having won major events from Florida to Canada as well as on the treacherous New York State Fairgrounds mile in Syracuse, where JohnsonÌs 1979 Super DIRT Week win made him the first New Yorker to visit Victory Lane. But their records at their ÏhomeÓ tracks are even more noteworthy.

At the Fonda Speedway, "Jumpin' Jack" has claimed 149 wins and 11 track championships while Tremont's Lebanon Valley Speedway resume shows 106 wins and 12 titles. And each has won at the others stronghold, with both legends recording wins in the season ending 200 lap events at Fonda and Lebanon Valley.

On ÏneutralÓ ground at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway, "JumpinÌ Jack" leads in the win column, with 89 to TremontÌs 43 while Tremont holds the advantage in track titles. Johnson prevailed in 1979, '81 and '83 with Tremont champion in 1984, '94, '95, '96, '97, '98, '99 and 2003.

With their careers spanning the time from small block powered, home built modifieds to today's slab-sided, factory produced big blocks, the duo has a wealth of experiences to share in the session, which will be moderated by National Speed Sport News columnist Ron Hedger. As always, the talk will end with the guests taking questions from the audience.

Admission to this lecture is free to Members. General admission to the Museum is $7.00 for Adults, $5.00 for Seniors and Active Military, and $3.50 for children ages 6-16. Children under 5 and under are free.
