Jim Taylor at Pebble Beach
August 23, 2006
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY-
Last week, Gloversville resident Jim Taylor spent his time polishing off
his remarkable 1955 Jaguar D-Type at what is considered one of the most prestigious automobile events in the world, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in Monterey, California. The invitation only event shows some of the finest and exclusive cars, with this year's Best In Show awarded to a 1931 Daimler Double-Six 50 Corsica Drophead Coupe, owned by Robert M. Lee of Reno, Nev.
Thirteen of Taylor's cars just finished a four month show at the
Saratoga Automobile Museum in Saratoga Spa State Park during the
exhibition "Driving Passion: The Jim Taylor Collection".
The mission of the Saratoga Automobile Museum is to display significant cars, trucks, and vehicles that not only represent the automotive heritage of New York State but the entire world of motorized transportation.
